Opening Credits

I promised you to upload some of our opening credits for our film.... and here they are...
But fist I will explain how we made them....
It's like magic... all you need is a Digital SLR Camera, on a slow shutter speed (a Cannon Digital SLR Camera on a shutter speed of about 2.5 seconds), and a bunch of torches, or glow sticks fro a bit of colour, and a very, very very dark room... with very little light or you don't get the full effect (we obtained our Law Lecture Room within college during our free period (between 11:05 and 12:40 in the morning) and a tripod for level photo taking.. and possible a couple of other people to help.

Steps!!

One) Obtain a room, camera and torches.
Two) Set up the tripod and camera, and remove the flash... the flash destroys all your hard work.
Three) Do a test photo.. just doodle a bit, find the optimum spot to snap the photo.
Four) Dim the lights, and try a few letters... easy ones first.
Five) Black out the lights completely, and block out any other light that you can find.
Six) Start taking your photos... to do this you simply need to follow theses easy steps...
A) Press the shutter button and Keep Hold of it (this is really important).
B) Get your friend to write the letter you wish to produce.
C) Release the button and admire your work!
Seven) Finish taking your photos, remove light blocks, brighten lights (slowly or you'll have a bit of a headache), thank whoever leant you the room, and then go to the media sweet (or any computer) and upload your letters.
Eight) after a bit of editing and tweaking, arrange your letters into words, and words into sentences.
Nine) Upload into JPEG files (get a computer savvy peep to do this)
Ten) Add to your Film!!
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

Our E was done in reverse and became a three... we simple rotated it in the editing process, the same happened with J

How Its Going

Currently we are filming our film. Its taken a lot of planing, multiple storyboards, location hunts, and long days in the rain... and I mustn't forget our opening title font, that was hand created by myself and Matthew, and two other students during a free lesson before or Friday Media lesson, and I shall upload some of the letters in a while.
So we'll start from the stop... Storyboards... Not the easiest to write, as we had constant arguments, thousands of ideas and only two minutes of time.... But we got there in the end... Uploads are on their way.

Location hunts began from day one of our Media lessons, before we had even been told what our two minutes would entitle. We started off by going to a place up near Rachael's house, which in the end we decided was bad, as it was next to Nelson Golf Club, and a primary school... Our second location was just behind my old house was, but again turned down due to too much civilian lives around. Finally we chose Pendle Hill, which ultimately changed our whole storyboard once again, as we decided to take up Burnley and Pendle's own local urban legend, The Pendle Witches.

Pendle Hill is where we spent our many rainy days. As it is high up and rather windy, it was hard to find a day that the weather was just right for filming, eventually we did, and it was an experience that we enjoyed. But on saying that some of the fun was within the rainy days, when we split up half way up the hill and got lost in the thick fog and cloud, and trying to find each other. The calling we did that day hurt our throats and you could say that our Saturday and Sunday was spent inside trying to gain our voices back =)
